When you become board certified in healthcare management as an ACHE Fellow (FACHE), you’ll have the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed.

The FACHE Process  Begins Here

  1. Meet the eligibility requirements.
  2. Submit your advancement application and $250 application fee. Upon approval, you will have two (2) years in which you must take and pass the Board of Governors Exam
  3. Prepare for your Exam.
  4. Register for the Exam and pay the $200 Exam fee. Exam eligibility will be valid for the two year duration of the approved fellow application.

Path to Fellowship

If you meet all of the following qualifications, you are eligible to apply

  • Current ACHE member with one (1) or more years of tenure (acquired as a member, faculty associate or international associate).
  • Minimum five (5) years executive-level healthcare management experience (documented with job description, organizational chart, and resume). Need help determining your experience level? Use this decision matrix tool.
  • Master’s or other post-baccalaureate degree (documented with diploma or final transcript).
  • Two (2) references, one from a current Fellow, as a structured face-to-face or phone interview with you; one written from a senior-level (VP or higher) executive in your organization, or a second Fellow.
  • Thirty-six (36) hours of healthcare-related continuing education within the last three (3) years: 12 hours must be ACHE Face-to-Face Education. The balance of 24 hours may be ACHE Face to Face Education or Qualified Education.
  • Two (2) healthcare-related activities and two (2) community/civic activities completed/participated in during the previous three (3) years. See the FAQ for examples of healthcare-related and community/civic activities.
